Technical Lead, Blockchain (Pre-Sales & Ecosystem)

The role

Kaleido is seeking a Technical Lead (Blockchain, Pre-Sales & Ecosystem) to represent us as the technical face of our business in Brazil. In this senior role, you will drive complex pre-sales cycles, enable a robust partner ecosystem, grow a vibrant technical community, and oversee early customer implementations. You will ensure PoCs and first-wave deliveries on Kaleido/FireFly set the standard for security, compliance, and scale.

About us

Kaleido provides a next-generation platform for building and connecting to decentralized networks (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin, Canton) in the cloud and on Kubernetes. We combine OSS and proprietary technologies to offer middleware, digital asset management, and custody solutions. Our platform lets customers build enterprise use cases which integrate with decentralized ecosystems and digital assets — either hosted in our SaaS or deployed in their own clouds.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Lead (Blockchain, Pre-Sales & Ecosystem), you will:

Pre-Sales Solution Architecture

  • Lead discovery, scoping, demos, PoCs, and RFPs; produce solution briefs, estimates, and SOW-ready architectures.
  • Map Brazilian regulatory and compliance needs (e.g., CVM 175, LGPD, financial-sector controls) to technical designs, security posture, and runbooks.
  • De-risk deals with reference architectures, migration plans, and success criteria; accelerate the transition from PoC to production.

Partner Ecosystem & Alliances

  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and enable partners (GSIs, boutiques, cloud, custodians, core-banking vendors, fintechs).
  • Develop enablement programs: curriculum, hands-on labs, certification rubrics, reusable assets (reference implementations, Terraform/K8s blueprints, contract templates).
  • Run co-sell and co-deliver motions with joint GTM strategies and clear governance.

Technical Community & Evangelism

  • Represent Kaleido in meetups, conferences, and universities; lead workshops, bootcamps, and hackathons.
  • Publish technical content (blogs, tutorials, sample apps, reference architectures) and maintain OSS repos showcasing FireFly/EVM best practices.
  • Nurture a contributor network and cultivate local champions and maintainers.

Architecture & Early Delivery Oversight

  • Guide lighthouse implementations on Kaleido/FireFly (EVM/Besu/Quorum), privacy patterns, data exchange, and integrations with bank systems (APIs, events, ISO 20022).
  • Define SLOs/SLIs, IaC (Terraform/Kubernetes), CI/CD, observability, and ensure smooth handover to delivery and customer success teams.

Security & Custody Patterns

  • Design secure key management and custody integrations (HSM/KMS, MPC, vaults).
  • Apply threat modeling, auditability, and privacy controls to regulated use cases.

Product Feedback Loop

  • Channel market and partner feedback into the global roadmap, advocating for Brazil-specific standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years in software engineering; 3+ years customer-facing pre-sales/solutions; 3+ years enterprise blockchain.
  • Hands-on EVM (Solidity, upgradeability, Hardhat/Foundry) and Kaleido/FireFly (or similar private-tx/data-exchange frameworks).
  • Integration patterns with REST/gRPC, event-driven architectures, messaging, and ISO 20022; familiarity with settlement flows (PIX/SPI/STR, DvP).
  • Cloud & DevOps: Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), AWS and/or Azure.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication (execs, sales, product, regulators).
  • Fluent Portuguese and advanced English; Spanish is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

  • Designing partner enablement programs (certification paths, content, joint solutions).
  • Experience with Hyperledger Fabric and/or R3 Corda.
  • Security or cloud certifications (CISSP/CCSK, AWS/Azure, CKA/CKAD).
  • Public speaking, published technical content, active OSS contributions.

We value and respect individuals from varied backgrounds, cultures, and experiences and strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported.
