Kaleido's Web3 Middleware is the transaction orchestration layer between enterprise systems and blockchains. It combines FireFly Enterprise, FireFly Connectors and Interop Hub to handle connectivity, transaction management, event streaming and cross-chain interoperability, so your applications work through one consistent API instead of each chain's internals.
Kaleido's three middleware products solve different problems. FireFly Connectors orchestrates transactions and streams events between your systems and a chain. FireFly Enterprise is the full Web3 gateway for building applications, with generated smart contract APIs. Interop Hub coordinates workflows and value movement across multiple chains and settlement rails, including DvP and PvP settlement.

Kaleido's Web3 Middleware is built on FireFly, an open-source Web3 middleware project that Kaleido created and contributed to Hyperledger, now the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust. FireFly is released under the Apache 2.0 license, so the core code isn't tied to a single vendor, and a single FireFly console manages use cases across both public and private chains.
