If This Then That, also known as IFTTT, is a web-based service that links simple conditional statements, called applets. An applet is triggered by changes or events that occur in other popular web services such as Facebook, Telegram, or Gmail.
The Kaleido IFTTT connector provides bidirectional data exchange between any connected IFTTT app or device in order to help them work together in new ways. You can configure off-chain activities to automatically trigger immutable record transactions on the chain, or contrarily, use activities on the chain to trigger alerts or events on designated, connected IFTTT app.
Triggers can be thought of as "events" on your service. Some example triggers are “Any new post” or “New photo added to album” or “Any new motion.”
The attributes emitted from a given trigger are called ingredients. For the trigger “New photo added to album,” there would be ingredients for “PhotoURL” and “TakenAt.”
Think of actions as sending data or creating resources on your service. Some example actions include “Create post” or “Upload photo” or “Turn on lights.”
