Kaleido, the first enterprise-grade platform to bring a full stack of development tools to web3, will now accelerate the next generation of identity solutions

Denver, Colorado, March 1 - At EthDenver 2023 Polygon Labs announced a partnership with Kaleido to enable enterprise clients to easily implement Polygon ID. By accessing Polygon ID's self-sovereign identity (SSI) and zero knowledge proof (ZKP) cryptography-based frameworks via Kaleido’s blockchain business cloud platform, enterprises can now leverage next generation identity tools along with a full stack of blockchain services to build web3 applications in a fraction of the time. This partnership will accelerate enterprise adoption of decentralized identity and bring a new layer of privacy to users across industry verticals that include banks, governments, healthcare, retail, education, ESG and more.

"This is a fundamental change in the Internet’s trust model," Polygon said. "For businesses leveraging Polygon ID, this may mean the end of headaches dealing with user data management. For individuals, it means greater control over their own identity and discretion in how they use their personal data to answer questions from institutions and private organizations. Polygon ID enables developers to accomplish what previously has not been possible online: enabling trust and verification, while delivering a user-friendly experience and maintaining the veil of privacy."

Kaleido currently provides enterprise connections to Polygon Mainnet, along with enterprise gas management, custodial wallets, and smart contract management. The addition of Polygon ID is a step toward bringing the full suite of Polygon technologies to the Kaleido platform.

“Decentralized identity standards and technologies are rapidly coming of age and hold tremendous promise to revolutionize how people engage online,” said Steve Cerveny, CEO of Kaleido. “The need for click-button simple DID infrastructure and DID-as-a-service will make the technology easier to use and integrate. We are excited to expand our partnership with Polygon to include Polygon ID technology into our offerings.”

Following the principles of SSI and privacy by default, Polygon ID helps developers build trusted and secure relationships between users and applications. It allows organizations on one side to issue verifiable credentials about users and organizations on the other side to verify those claims. Kaleido will offer this identity solution as a service, hosting both claim and verification servers.

Customers who run Polygon ID on Kaleido will benefit from multi-region, multi-cloud deployment options, full stack of pre-built services and APIs, and advanced digital asset, NFT, and tokenization capabilities.

All these features are backed by highly performant enterprise-grade infrastructure that is SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27K compliant with HA/DR and advanced key management.

About Polygon ID:

Polygon ID is a decentralized and permissionless identity framework based on Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and zero knowledge (ZK) cryptography. The protocol allows individuals to own and control their identities while ensuring freedom of expression and privacy by default. It uses zero-knowledge proofs to enable users to prove their identity without exposing private information. Polygon ID is part of the ZK centered strategic vision from Polygon.
